Mission
The Carroll Community College Foundation is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the development of financial resources for the College to support the educational needs of all students, businesses, and the entire community.
The Foundation is a separate not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation, chartered to provide financially for the educational needs of Carroll Community College. The Board of Directors, all volunteers, generously give of their time, talent and resources to support the Foundation. They have strong and close ties to the Carroll County community.
If you would like to make a gift to the Foundation or need assistance with your charitable gift plans, please call the Foundation Office at 410-386-8150.
Ways to Give
Cash Donations are available for immediate use by our Foundation.
Matching Gifts double the power of your personal giving. Check with your employer or other organizations with which you are affiliated as to whether they offer a matching gift program.
Stocks, Bonds and Mutual Funds may enable donors to contribute a larger gift with less cost.
Pledges provide a longer-term commitment over a designated period of time based on an agreed upon schedule.
Life Insurance policies provide a wonderful legacy to the College. Identify the Foundation as the beneficiary of your policy or designate us as the owner of a whole life policy.
Retirement Savings are a great way to maximize your legacy. Gifts during your lifetime can seamlessly be transferred once you have reached age 70½.
Gifts of Appreciated Real Estate can provide a charitable tax deduction and elimination of capital gains tax.
Legacy Giving: Legacy giving refers to the process of making a charitable gift of estate assets to the Foundation. A legacy gift requires consideration and planning in light of your overall estate plan. Legacy gifts are usually deferred. For example, a person could include a provision in his or her will to make a bequest to the Carroll Community College Foundation. Additional planned gift vehicles include life insurance policies, real property, appreciated securities, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, and charitable gift annuities. Such gifts may offer alternatives and solutions to tax liabilities and may reduce probate fees. Because of the size and potential impact of such gifts, a donor should consult with his or her professional advisors before completing the process.
Please contact our Executive Director at 410-386-8154 to discuss your charitable gift plans.
Major Gifts Campaign- Investing in a Brilliant Future
The Carroll Community College Foundation announced an $8M major gifts campaign in December 2018. The campaign is enlisting the support of everyone in this community to invest In the College’s ability to introduce new jobs based initiatives including cyber security, digital fabrication and 3D manufacturing, drone technology, entertainment technology, allied health and nursing, and all STEM related fields leading to jobs in our community and regionally.
Education debt is crippling to our society. The campaign seeks to grow student scholarships. Opening a door to a high quality education without the long-term burden of debt is beneficial to everyone in our community.
The cost of technology infrastructure as well as classroom technology imperative to the student learning experience is at the center of all the College provides. The campaign is generating support for the investment in technology. Allowing students to learn using technology that they will experience in the workforce or in the next journey to higher education is crucial.
Lastly funding the success f our students through a vibrant tutoring service available to everyone, investing in our faculty’s development to provide the highest quality education, and offering learning experiences outside the four walls of the classroom through student experiences rounds out the high quality education our students receive at Carroll.

Annual Giving Program
Even the modest annual tuition charged by Carroll Community College is beyond the reach of many students without financial assistance. Books, childcare, transportation all add to the total cost of financing an education. Scholarships are needed to guarantee that educational opportunities are within the reach of all Carroll Countians. Your gifts of $100, $500, $1,000, or more to the annual fund will provide unrestricted support in areas of highest need within the College by the President of the College.
Paving the Way to a Stronger Foundation Campaign
Become a permanent part of Carroll Community College with an engraved brick in the College’s main courtyard. Your $100 donation will impact the life of a student at Carroll and you will be a part of Carroll’s rich heritage.
A personally engraved brick can serve as a tribute to a graduate, a family member or friend, a special occasion, a favorite instructor, a memorial to a loved one, or to simply let the community know that you value the role that Carroll Community College plays in our community.

How to Become Involved… Volunteer!
There are a number of ways to get involved with the Foundation and have an impact on our students and our community. The Foundation is always looking for volunteers to help with a variety of events, campaigns and activities. There are two major fundraising events each year that require a large volunteer base to be successful. Volunteers are needed to serve on committees, work in the office and participate the day of an event. There are also fundraising campaigns that require volunteers to help distribute materials, serve on committees, and be advocates for the campaign in the community and on campus. If you are interested in volunteering in a rewarding environment or would like more information, please contact Steve Wantz at 410-386-8154.
