Provides students with a foundation in the sciences and in the principles and practices of the surgical technologist’s roles during the phases of surgery. The essential components of this health career are applied through extensive preceptored clinical experiences. CAAHEP accreditation entitles program graduates to apply to sit for the national certifying examination in surgical technology. Enrollment is limited.

A grade of C or better is required in all courses.
