SUAS 200 - sUAS Data Analysis Number of Credits: 3 Explain accepted methods of capturing and analyzing drone data for various industries and purposes. Evaluate objectives and conditions that impact payload and drone platform decisions. Execute a flight plan. Engage in the analysis of various data sets. Pre-requisite(s): SUAS 102 , plus a minimum of 35 hours documented flight time (instructor will require a copy of your log book). Course Topics: Program and mission planning.
Data acquisition and analysis.
Autonomous and manual flight. Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Facilitate flight plans and checklists necessary to achieve appropriate data. (PG1, PG3, PG5).
- Utilize appropriate payloads to capture data. (PG1, PG3, PG4).
- Analyze data using software to interpret and calculate outcomes. (PG3)
- Create deliverables from extracted data. (PG3)
- Complete various flying scenarios, including autonomous and manual flights, for the purpose of data acquisition. (PG1, PG2)
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of how to use FLIR Tools and ICE software for data analysis. (PG3)
- Create a customized drone program including standard operating procedures, drone maintenance, battery maintenance, and best practices related to data acquisition. (PG2, PG5)
