CGR 105 - Introduction to Computer Graphics Number of Credits: 3 Explore the field of graphic design; apply techniques using graphic design and layout software on a computer. Survey logo, product, and poster design as well as the computer graphics industry.(Fall, Spring)Three hours lecture each week. Three Credits. Three billable hours.
Pre-requisite(s): exemption/completion of ENG 001 .
Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Use industry-standard design software at an introductory level.
- Use industry-standard design hardware at an introductory level.
- Create aesthetically appropriate artifacts for their design portfolio.
- Perform research on contemporary graphic design.
- Convert abstract concepts into original design solutions.
- Communicate design concepts.
- Assess artifacts created by others.
- Apply the basics of graphic design theory.
