HONOR 202 - Service Learning: Values and Action Capstone Number of Credits: 1 Utilize leadership skills in an effort to support community needs; discuss, analyze, and act on those needs in a real-world setting. Participate in a service learning project. This course is only for students participating in the Pappalardo Honors Program. Additional $250 fee required.(All Terms)One hour lecture each week. One Credit. One billable hour.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: This course supports students in using skills learned in college to create and affect change in the community. Upon completion of HONORS 202, students will be able to:
- Apply service-learning theory to the local community.
- Describe critical issues facing the Carroll County community and the State of Maryland.
- Articulate community needs and identify strategies to address needs.
- Develop reflection skills needed to critically analyze their experiences.
- Develop relevant skills in becoming a more effective and engaged community member.
