Review the history, theories, principles, and practices of evidence collection and analysis of evidence in crime scene investigations; explore related medical and legal issues. Apply forensic science principles to the resolution of criminal investations. Topics include DNA evidence, fingerprints, firearms examination, and identifying/preserving trace evidence. Available to Police Academy students only.Three hours lecture each week. Three Credits. Three billable hours.
