Explore the development of the U.S. health care system from the past to present, including the role of the government in public health and the impact of managed care on delivery. Examine in-patient, outpatient, long-term care services, information technology, health care laws, and medical ethics. Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Identify the historical influences that shaped the U.S. health care system.

4. Explain managed care and its processes in health care delivery.
