Pre-requisite(s): PSYC 101 or SOC 101

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Express a critical awareness of one’s own worldviews and biases and how these cultural factors influence one’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Identify psychological implications of prejudice, associated stigmas, and other structures of inequality.
Critically evaluate research about psychological principles and culture.
Apply relevant research methods relating to culture and psychology.
Utilize psychological theories and principles to develop an understanding of the impact of cultural values on human interactions.
