Explore the global history of the Second World War, especially the theaters of war and related events in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific in relation to their impact on the Allied political and military objectives. Examine the perspective of the United States, Great Britain, other Allied nations, Japan, and Germany. Investigate the role of diplomacy and strategy; the impact of war upon society; and the fighting on land, at sea, and in the air. Analyze the war’s political, social, and military impact on the global community. Three hours lecture each week. Three Credits. Three billable hours.
