ENGR 202 - MATLAB Fundamentals


Number of Credits: 1
Solve application problems from calculus, physics, and engineering using MATLAB scripts.  Use computer programming strategies including branching, loops, and functions to produce numerical and graphical solutions. This course is for those students who intend to pursue further education in the fields of mechanical or aerospace engineering at the University of Maryland at College Park (UMCP).(Fall)One hour lecture each week.One hour laboratory each week. One credit. One billable hour.


Pre-requisite(s): MATH 135  

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  1. Develop algorithms and code that utilize the computational tools available in MATLAB. 
  2. Write, implement, and debug MATLAB scripts and user defined functions. 
  3. Solve application problems from calculus, physics, and engineering using MATLAB scripts.
