MUSIC 203 - Music Technology Capstone Project & Portfolio Number of Credits: 1 Design and complete a final project that demonstrates skill and knowledge in the field of music technology. In addition to the capstone project, students will curate a professional portfolio that includes three audio recording projects they have contributed to, along with written documentation of their roles and responsibilities. The course also guides students in creating an artistic resume and recording a short performance video on their primary instrument, preparing them for both academic and professional pursuits in the music and audio industries.(All Terms) One credit. One billable hour.
Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Design and complete a final capstone project within the field of music technology.
- Compile and refine three audio recording projects that you had a hand in engineering. If your capstone project involves recording, it may count as one of the three required recordings.
- Create a text file outlining your role and responsibilities in the three projects.
- Assemble an artistic resume outlining your musical training and experience.
- Produce and record a one to two-minute video of you performing on your primary instrument.
