The purpose of the Associate of Arts in Arts and Sciences Theatre concentration is to prepare students with knowledge and skills in theatrical concepts, expressive communication, performance, technical theatre, and production. The required course sequence provides a foundation of training and experience necessary to succeed as a professional theatre artist. Providing a small student-to-faculty ratio (generally under 18-1) with quality instruction, students will benefit from greater individual attention and professor availability.

Program Goals
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Identify theatrical concepts of performance and design within a production.
- Apply fundamental knowledge and skills of acting, including primary voice and movement work.
- Analyze one’s own abilities and processes as an actor or technician through collaboration in live performance.
- Evaluate various historical periods and genres of theatre.
