Public Health focuses on the study of the human body’s ability to maintain or restore health and wellbeing.

Associate degree in Public Health scholars gain knowledge and skills through multidisciplinary study of the human body and mind. Information from anatomy, biology, chemistry, physiology, psychology and other specific program courses enables them to holistically treat or counsel individuals for optimal health and disease prevention.

What can I do with an AA degree in Public Health?

Sub-disciplines in the Public Health field include community and public health, workplace health promotion, health science research, epidemiology, complementary medicine and traditional medicine.

Students who complete the required discipline, general education and highly recommended courses will be prepared to pursue a career in one or more of the above sub-disciplines or to transfer to a 4-year institution’s Public Health, Health Promotion, Community Health or Health Science program.
