The Johns Hopkins Hospital Schools of Medical Imaging Radiography Program is a comprehensive radiography (x-ray technology) program that prepares competent entry-level radiographers for the healthcare community. Radiography uses technically sophisticated equipment that produces x-radiation used to create images of the human body. Training will include general x-ray, orthopedics, pediatrics, emergency room, trauma, mobile studies and the surgical suite. First-hand, clinical experience in radiologic procedures is obtained at several JHH facilities, as well as other clinical facilities throughout the Baltimore metropolitan region. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists national certification examination.

The JHH Radiography Program has two tracks: an 18-month and a 23-month track. Under this affiliation agreement, Carroll students will first complete the JHH program prerequisites as well as remaining general education requirements of the Associate of Applied Science degree. Students will then apply to the JHH selective admissions program. Upon successful admission and completion of the 18- or 23-month JHH program, students will transfer credit back to Carroll from the clinical program as elective credit to complete the AAS in Technical Professional Studies.

Financial Aid: The pre-clinical courses taken at Carroll before attending the JHH program are eligible for federal as well as state financial aid and scholarships. However, while the JHH Schools of Medical Imaging is recognized as an eligible institution of higher education for purposes of state financial aid programs which include Maryland State Scholarships and Veterans Benefits, its programs are not eligible for Federal financial aid such as Pell Grants and Stafford loans.
