Students in the Associate of Applied Science Computer Graphics program learn to analyze client needs and create effective design solutions, enhancing both their creativity and design sense through a variety of real-world projects. Graduates are prepared for a variety of jobs in an ever-expanding industry, including entry-level positions in design studios, printing companies, advertising agencies, television stations, web development companies, interactive multimedia studios and in-house corporate art departments.

Degree Requirements
Associate of Applied Science, Computer Graphics, Degree Recommended Course Sequence: 60 credits required Program Goals
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to: - Transform information into creative, conceptually appropriate design solutions using industry-standard production software and hardware.
- Develop a personal, research-based design process that applies graphic design theory in the creation of aesthetically pleasing artifacts.
- Evaluate design projects by articulating concepts in verbal, visual, and written forms.
- Prepare a portfolio of work that clearly demonstrates effectiveness as a visual communicator.
Student Notices
Diversity requirement: take ART 125 . An Associate of Applied Science degree requires a minimum of 9 credits of 200-level courses. Students who select this curriculum and wish to transfer later to a four-year institution should check with that institution. While many courses will transfer, certain specialized courses may not. |
