NURS 133 - Nursing Concepts 1


Number of Credits: 5
Connect concepts of nursing care to promote health throughout the lifespan. Apply nursing skills in acute-care facilities and simulations using safe, therapeutic, and evidence-based nursing care.  Sixty hours of lecture and forty five hours of clinical experience each semester. Additional $277 fee required.(Fall) Five Credits. Five billable hours.


Pre-requisite(s): Admission to the Nursing Program.

Co-requisite(s): NURS 131  and NURS 132 .
Pre-/Co-requisite(s): Prerequisite: Admission to the Nursing program. Co-requisites: NURS-131 and NURS-132.
Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
 

  1. Use the components of the nursing process when creating a plan of care.
  2. Develop an awareness of opportunities that promote professional growth.
  3. Provide patient-centered care with coaching.
  4. Explore the scientific evidence that supports the patient’s plan of care.
