NURS 131 - Health Assessment

Use a body systems approach to develop physical examination skills with diverse populations. Focus on assessment of individuals throughout the lifespan.Thirty hours of laboratory practice each semester.  Additional $130 fee required.(Fall, Summer)Varies by week. One Credit. One billable hour.


Pre-requisite(s): Admission to the Nursing Program.

Co-requisite(s): NURS 132  and NURS 133  (Fall) or NURS 132  and NURS 203  (Summer) 
Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  1. Apply critical thinking to identify normal and abnormal health findings.
  2. Demonstrate foundational physical assessment techniques using a body systems approach across the lifespan.
