CRIM 230 - Police Administration Number of Credits: 3 Research and evaluate the principles of supervision, management, and organization as they relate to police organizations. Review personnel issues, community relations, and measures of effectiveness in groups to practice criticial thinking. This course is open to Law Enforcement Academy students only. (All Terms) Three hours lecture each week. Three Credits. Three billable hours.
Pre-requisite(s): CRIM 101 . Co-requisite(s): No change. Pre-/Co-requisite(s): Completion of or enrollment in a certified police academy. This course is not for general credit students.

Qualities of a great leader. Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Review the various problem solving shills and decision making techniques needed for of law enforcement.
- Research the steps needed in the development of a program budget.
- Explore the concept of vicarious liability and its consequences to a law enforcement manager.
- Identify the recruiting, selection, and training processes most often used by law enforcement organization.
- Recognize the signs of stress and the methods by which it can be managed in a police agency.
- Describe the resources and methods law enforcement can use to measure productivity.
