Apply best practices and basic controls for flying. Prepare for the Aeronautical Knowledge Test required to obtain FAA Remote Pilot (Part 107) certification. Certification is not guaranteed. UAS (Drone) FAA Remote Pilot Certification Prep Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Implement general regulatory requirements of Part 107 regulations (PG1, PG2).
- Interpret operating rules and requirements under Part 107 regulations (PG1, PG2).
- Evaluate airsIpace to include controlled, uncontrolled, and special use airspace (PG1, PG2).
- Judge Airspace operational requirements (PG1, PG2).
- Explain Airport Operations (PG1, PG2).
- Practice Aeronautical decision-making (PG1).
- Define physiological factors affecting remote pilot performance (PG1, PG2).
- Demonstrate basic maneuvers of SUAS flight, including take off, landing and stationary flight (PG1, PG3, PG5).
- Execute a SUAS mission plan (PG1, PG3, PG4, PG5).
- Examine weather-related issues and requirements as they relate to SUAS (PG1).
