The Associate of Arts degree program in Business Administration, International Business Concentration, prepares students to transfer to a four-year institution to continue their studies in international business, business administration, and related fields. Challenging coursework with a focus on writing and critical thinking skills provides a solid basis for students to become engaged citizens and thoughtful leaders in their chosen careers.

Program Goals

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:

Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
Prepare basic accounting documentation.
Develop a simple business and marketing plan.
Explain the process and functions of management of a business organization.
Employ fundamental software applications for everyday business tasks.
Compare culture, business practices, and language in the U.S. and other countries across the globe.

Student Notices

The following courses are required for this concentration; some courses fulfill General Education requirements: ACCT 101 , ACCT 102 , ANTH 101 , BUAD 101 , BUAD 205 , CIS 101 , COMM 105 , ECON 100 , ECON 102 , MGMT 201 , MKTG 201 and SOC 115 .

Diversity requirement: take ENGL 102 and SOC 115 .

Business majors with a 3.200 GPA may be eligible for membership in the business honor society, Alpha Beta Gamma.

Students may choose to complete this program in an online format. Speak with an advisor to determine if online learning is appropriate.
